Alright, let’s get this straight, are them two lovebirds or what? Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, yeah, that’s who I’m talkin’ about. Folks keep askin’ and I keep hearin’ things, so I figured I’d lay it all out for ya, plain and simple.

First off, they sing real purty together, like birds in the spring. Heard ‘em on the radio, saw ‘em on TV once, and let me tell ya, their voices just fit. Like peas in a pod, or maybe like biscuits and gravy, ha! You know what I mean? They got that somethin’ special when they sing, that’s for sure.
- They been singin’ together a long time now, seems like forever. Started way back when, maybe 2007 or somethin’? Heard tell they met at a show for some fella named Lead Belly, wherever that was.
- And they just kept on singin’, made a bunch of records, toured all over the place. Heard they’re goin’ on tour again, which is right nice of ‘em. Folks like hearin’ good music, somethin’ to tap your feet to.
Now, here’s the thing, people get confused ‘cause they look so cozy on stage. Always smilin’ at each other, singin’ them love songs. Makes you wonder, don’t it? But from what I gather, they ain’t a couple-couple, you know, like husband and wife. They just real good friends who like singin’ together.
See, here’s the deal. Both of ‘em been married before, had their own families and whatnot. Plant, he was married a long time ago to some gal named Maureen, I think. And Alison, well, she had her own fella too. So, they done that whole marriage thing already.
And seems like Plant, he ain’t one for spillin’ all his personal business. Keeps to himself mostly, that’s what I hear. But he did say somethin’ once about how they got different lives, him and Alison. Which makes sense, I reckon. Just ‘cause you sing pretty together don’t mean you gotta be hitched.
It’s like this, you ever have a good neighbor you like spendin’ time with? Maybe you bake ‘em a pie, they help you fix your fence. You enjoy their company, but you ain’t married to ‘em, right? That’s kinda how I see it with Plant and Alison. They good friends, they enjoy singin’ together, and that’s all there is to it.
Their shows, I heard, they last a good long while, hour and a half maybe. That’s a lot of singin’, must get plum tuckered out. But they keep doin’ it, ‘cause they love it, I guess. And folks love hearin’ ‘em. It’s good, clean fun, not like some of that racket the young folks listen to these days.

So, bottom line? They ain’t a couple, just real good friends and singin’ partners. That chemistry you see on stage? That’s just the music talkin’, the way they voices blend together. Don’t go readin’ too much into it, folks. Just enjoy the music, that’s what it’s there for.
And if you get a chance to see ‘em live, well, go on and do it. It ain’t every day you get to hear voices that good, voices that make you wanna tap your feet and sing along. They got somethin’ special, them two, no doubt about it. Whether they’re a couple or not, that don’t change the fact that they make beautiful music together. And that’s good enough for me.
And let me tell ya, these folks, they keep gettin’ better, like a good ol’ stew that simmers on the stove all day. Alison herself said so, said they just keep gettin’ better every time they sing together. And that’s the truth, I reckon. You can hear it in their voices, feel it in their music.
So there ya have it. The long and short of it. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, singin’ partners, not lovebirds. But who knows, maybe someday things will change. Life’s funny that way. But for now, let’s just appreciate the music, ‘cause that’s what matters. And remember, don’t always believe everything you hear. Sometimes, folks just like to stir up trouble and make somethin’ outta nothin’.
