Alright, listen up, y’all. We’re gonna talk about them movies, the ones like that “Paul” fella, you know, the alien one? Not that fancy-pants Paul, the one with the spaceships and stuff. Yeah, that’s the one.
So, if you liked that “Paul” movie, you might like some other ones too. I ain’t no expert, mind you, just tellin’ ya what I heard. Folks say there’s this movie called “Race to Witch Mountain”. They say it’s kinda like “Paul,” with the aliens and all. I ain’t seen it myself, but folks seem to like it. Maybe it’s got some of that same funny business, you know, aliens actin’ all silly.
Then there’s them other movies, like that one with the cars, “Gone in 60 Seconds”. Now, that ain’t got no aliens, but it’s got plenty of action. Cars zoomin’ around, folks yellin’, stuff blowin’ up. It’s a whole lotta ruckus, just like when that alien fella in “Paul” started causin’ trouble. If you like a good car chase, this one’s for you.
Some folks, they like them movies with the laughin’. You know, the ones where folks are crackin’ jokes and gettin’ into all sorts of silly situations. They say movies like “Superbad” and “21 Jump Street” are like that. Now, I ain’t seen them neither, but they say they’re funny. Maybe they got some of that same goofy humor as “Paul,” you know, where things get a little crazy and folks are sayin’ all sorts of wild stuff.
- If you like aliens, try “Race to Witch Mountain.”
- If you like cars and action, watch “Gone in 60 Seconds.”
- If you want some laughs, check out “Superbad” and “21 Jump Street.”
Now, I heard tell that “Paul” movie came out in 2011, not 2009. Don’t know why folks get that wrong, but there you have it. And some fella was talkin’ about wantin’ a TV show about some book, somethin’ about a restaurant at the end of the universe. Sounds kinda crazy to me, but folks like what they like. I guess if you liked “Paul,” you might like that kinda thing too.
They also said “Paul” is a kinda funny movie, but not always laugh-out-loud funny. It’s got some chuckles, they say. And it makes fun of them other space movies, like the ones that fella Spielberg makes. You know, the ones with the spaceships and the aliens and all that. “Paul” kinda pokes fun at all that, makes it a little silly. And it’s got some bad words in it, so maybe don’t watch it with the little ‘uns around.
And then there’s this other Paul movie, somethin’ about a mall cop. “Paul Blart: Mall Cop”, I think it’s called. Now, that ain’t nothin’ like the alien Paul. This one’s just a regular fella, workin’ at the mall. But folks seem to like it, so maybe you will too. It ain’t aliens, but it’s somethin’.
So there you have it, a whole bunch of movies that are kinda sorta like “Paul” in one way or another. Some got aliens, some got action, some got laughs. You just gotta figure out what you like and go from there. And if you don’t like none of ’em, well, that’s alright too. There’s plenty of other movies out there, just gotta find the ones that tickle your fancy.
And don’t go listenin’ to them fancy movie critics, neither. They use all them big words and try to sound all smart. Just watch the movie and see if you like it. That’s all that matters. If it makes you laugh, or makes you think, or just keeps you entertained for a couple of hours, then it’s a good movie in my book. And if that alien fella makes you giggle, well, that’s just fine too.
