Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout this Inuyasha thing, alright? It’s some kinda story, like them picture books my grandkid reads, only longer and with more fightin’. This fella named Inuyasha, he’s the main guy. Rumiko Takahashi, she’s the one who made it all up, drew all them pictures too. Started way back in 1996, when you was probably just a little tyke. Went on and on for almost 12 years, ended in 2008. That’s a long time, lemme tell ya.

Now, they call it “official art,” this stuff. Means it’s the real deal, not some fan-made thing. The folks who made the show, they drew it. Posters, them things they put on walls to show off the show. Character designs, what the folks look like before they start movin’ around on the screen. And covers for them shiny discs, DVDs and Blu-rays, whatever them things are.

This Inuyasha fella, he’s got himself tangled up with two gals. First, there’s Kikyo. He had a thing for her, for sure. But then there’s Kagome. She’s the one he really loves, you know? Like, he picks her, says it out loud and everything. Takes a while, mind you, this ain’t no quickie love story.
There’s this place online, a blog they call it, where they put up all the best Inuyasha pictures. They say it’s all “100% official art,” and in the “highest resolution possible.” That just means the pictures are clear and you can see all the little details, I guess. They hope you find somethin’ new, somethin’ you ain’t seen before. It’s like goin’ through a whole bunch of old photos, only these are drawn.
And then there’s this other place, Zerochan they call it. It’s like a big ol’ photo album, but just for this Inuyasha character. You can see all sorts of pictures of him, probably from different parts of the story. Must be a popular fella, this Inuyasha. All these pictures, all this talk about him. He’s got pointy ears too, kinda like a dog, but he’s a demon, they say. Fights with a big ol’ sword. Lots of action, lots of drama, and a bit of romance thrown in for good measure. That’s what I gather, anyways.
I ain’t watched it myself, mind you. Too busy with my own chores, can’t be sittin’ around watchin’ cartoons all day. But from what I hear, it’s a big deal. Folks like them pictures, like the story. It’s about love, and fightin’, and demons, and all sorts of things. And it’s all thanks to that Rumiko Takahashi lady. She musta been real busy drawin’ all them pictures for so many years. Hope she got paid good, that’s for sure.
This official art stuff, it’s important, they say. It shows you what the characters are supposed to look like, the world they live in. It’s like the real deal, the blueprint for the whole thing. So, if you’re into this Inuyasha, you probably wanna see these pictures. They’ll tell you more than I can, that’s for sure. I’m just tellin’ you what I heard, what I read. Don’t know much about it myself, but it seems like a whole lot of fuss over a dog-eared demon and his two gals.

Anyways, that’s the gist of it. Inuyasha, official art, Rumiko Takahashi, love, fightin’, the whole shebang. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens.
