Alright, so you’re lookin’ for movies like that “Primal Fear,” huh? That one with the twist at the end? I seen it. Scared the bejesus outta me, that boy did. Anyway, they got plenty more like it, if you know where to look.

Now, some folks, they like them fancy words and all that, but I just call ’em like I see ’em. So, these movies, they’re all about secrets and lies, and people not bein’ who they seem. Like that “Fracture” movie, with that young fella, Ryan Gosling, and that old timer, Anthony Hopkins. That one’s got a similar feel, you know? Keeps you guessin’ till the very end.
Then there’s them courtroom dramas. “The Lincoln Lawyer,” that’s a good one. And “The Verdict,” that Paul Newman fella, he’s somethin’ else in that one. And if you wanna go way back, there’s “To Kill a Mockingbird.” That one’s a classic, they say. All about justice and whatnot.
- “Fracture” – That one’ll make you think.
- “The Lincoln Lawyer” – Smooth talkin’ lawyer, that’s what it is.
- “The Verdict” – Old fella fightin’ for what’s right.
- “To Kill a Mockingbird” – A real oldie but a goodie.
But it ain’t just courtrooms, you know? Some of these thrillers, they get right inside your head. They talk about “Final Analysis,” that one’s from the 90s too, just like “Primal Fear.” And then there’s all sorts of others, hundreds they say. Some website, they call it “Letterboxd,” or somethin’ like that, they got a whole list. And another one, “Filmaffinity,” they got lists too. Too many for an old woman like me to keep track of, that’s for sure.
Now, if you want somethin’ real scary, they got “Psycho” and “Silence of the Lambs.” Them ones, they’ll give you nightmares, I tell ya. And some newer ones, like “Black Swan” and “Parasite.” I ain’t seen them, but the young folks, they say they’re good. All about messed up minds and twists you don’t see comin’.
But it ain’t just about the scares, you know? It’s about the people. Like in “Primal Fear,” that boy, he seemed so innocent, but then… well, you seen it. These movies, they show you how people can be two different things at once. Like good and bad, all mixed up together. That’s what makes them so interestin’, I reckon.
So, if you liked “Primal Fear,” you got plenty to choose from. Just gotta find what you’re in the mood for. You want a courtroom drama? A thriller? A scary movie? They got it all. Just don’t watch ’em alone at night, that’s my advice. Might give you a fright!

And remember, it ain’t just about the plot twists and the jump scares. It’s about the people and the choices they make. That’s what makes a good movie, in my book. Somethin’ that makes you think, you know? Somethin’ that stays with you long after the credits roll.
Now, I gotta go make some supper. But you go on and find yourself a good movie. And don’t forget to tell me all about it later! And if you stumble upon a movie like that “Revenant,” that’s a whole ‘nother story for a different day, but still good, mind you, just a different kind of good.
