Listen here, child, let me tell ya ’bout this Archer thing. People like to fuss over it, ask all sorts of silly questions. Like what’s that fella Archer always jabbering about? It’s a show, see? On that there telly-vision box. Yeah, the one with the pictures that move.
They say he’s a spy, this Archer fella. But he don’t act like no spy I ever heard of. Always getting into scrapes, shootin’ and hollerin’. And those magazines! Always some magazine lyin’ around, meanin’ somethin’ or other. Folks say they give you clues, but I just see a bunch of pictures and words.
And that Burt Reynolds, always showin’ up somehow. Like Archer’s got a thing for him or somethin’. Kid had a funny childhood, they say. Listened to that fella Kenny Loggins and played with them stick things, that lacrosse. Cooked too, which ain’t right for no boy, if you ask me. Boys should be out gettin’ dirty, not fussin’ over food.
- Ice cubes clinkin’. They say it’s in every show. Never paid much attention, but folks seem to think it’s important. Like findin’ a penny on the ground, I guess. Just somethin’ that happens.
- That redneck brother, Randy. Archer helped him out once. Showed he had a good heart, maybe, under all that shootin’ and fussin’. But rednecks, they’re trouble, always gettin’ into mischief.
And the ladies, don’t get me started. Lana Kane, they say she’s a spy too. She and Archer, they go at it like cats and dogs, always bickerin’ but they got somethin’ goin’ on, everyone can see it. Like two stubborn mules pullin’ the same cart in different directions.
Folks like to ask all them trivia questions. Like they’re tryin’ to catch you out. Over twenty questions, they say. Play games and quizzes and such. Like they ain’t got nothin’ better to do with their time. But if it keeps ’em busy, I guess it ain’t hurtin’ nobody.
Autistic, they say Archer is. Got somethin’ wrong with his brain. Explains why he acts so peculiar, I suppose. But he gets the job done, even if he makes a mess of it. Like a bull in a china shop, always breakin’ things but somehow still gettin’ to the other side.
Folks make a big fuss about how many times they play them quizzes. Thousands and thousands, they say. Sporcle, they call it. Sounds like a pickle to me. But if folks wanna spend their time answerin’ questions about a silly spy show, well, that’s their business.
This Archer fella, he’s somethin’ else. Always shootin’ folks, gettin’ into trouble, and sayin’ things that don’t make no sense. But folks love him, for some reason. Maybe it’s the way he makes ’em laugh, or maybe it’s just somethin’ to watch when they ain’t got nothin’ better to do. Either way, it’s just a show, child. Don’t get too worked up over it.
