Well, here we go, folks! Let’s talk about that show “Reba,” all about Reba McEntire and her life on TV, ya know? Now, you might already be a big fan of Reba and know some bits and pieces, but today we’re diggin’ up some trivia – those little things you maybe didn’t know about Reba and the folks on her show.

First off, let’s talk about Reba herself. Now, her full name’s actually Reba Nell McEntire, born in a little town called McAlester, Oklahoma, way back on March 28, 1955. Her folks, Jackie and Clark McEntire, named her after her grandma, Reba Smith, who was real spiritual. This Reba grew up with some strong roots, and you can see that in how she lives her life, both on-screen and off.
Now, if we look at her show “Reba,” which folks watched all over, there’s a whole load of things that happened. So here’s a little fun fact for ya: only three folks made it through all 125 episodes – Reba McEntire herself, JoAnna Garcia Swisher (who plays her daughter Cheyenne), and Steve Howey (who’s Cheyenne’s husband, Van). The rest had their ups and downs, or in some cases, just couldn’t be there the whole way.
Here’s a bit about the cast and crew:
- Melissa Peterman – She played Barbra Jean, Reba’s ex-husband Brock’s new wife. Now, even though on-screen they had their spats, Melissa and Reba are actually best pals in real life. Isn’t that somethin’? You wouldn’t know from watchin’, but the two of ’em hit it off behind the scenes like old friends.
- Scarlett Pomers – Played Reba’s other daughter, Kyra. Now, she was a big part of the show, but there’s a season where she had to step away for a bit due to an eating disorder. She took time off to get better, which was real brave of her, and came back to finish her role after that.
- Brock Hart – That’s Reba’s ex-husband on the show, played by Christopher Rich. His character adds a lot of the drama, ya know? This guy was quite the character, always in and out with Reba and tryin’ to do right by both his new wife and his old family. Made for good TV, that’s for sure.
Now, fans of the show will know there were some classic moments across the seasons. Like when Cheyenne goes into labor and Reba’s tryin’ to keep everything together. There was even an episode where Reba’s got to help split up her own assets after the divorce – lots of laughter and some tears, too.
Another neat thing is that Reba McEntire became a Voice coach for a season, too. That woman knows music like the back of her hand. She brought all her skills to “The Voice” show, teachin’ young singers the ropes.
So, if you thought you knew everything about Reba and her show, here’s just a handful of Reba trivia for you:

- Where’s Reba from? — McAlester, Oklahoma.
- Who’s her best friend from the cast? — Melissa Peterman, who plays Barbra Jean.
- How many cast members were in all episodes? — Just three: Reba, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, and Steve Howey.
