Y’know, them movies where you got a good mix of horror, twists, and maybe a little humor to keep things light even when it’s all spooky and weird. And believe me, there’s a whole mess of them out there. I’ll tell ya all about ’em, so don’t you worry none!

1. Groundhog Day (1993)
Now, this one ain’t exactly a horror movie, but it sure does have that time loop thing goin’ on, just like in “Happy Death Day.” Bill Murray gets stuck relivin’ the same day over and over. Ain’t no killer on the loose, but the idea of not bein’ able to escape the same day – well, that’s got a similar feel. Just a whole lot more funny, less bloody, that’s all.
2. Final Girls (2015)
This here’s another one for ya if you like the mix of comedy and horror. It’s got a bunch of young folks gettin’ stuck in a slasher movie – literally. They try to figure out how to survive and escape, while all the while bein’ in the middle of a horror film that’s more or less got a mind of its own. It’s fun and full of twists, just like “Happy Death Day.”
3. Truth or Dare (2018)
If you’re lookin’ for somethin’ a little bit more on the spooky side, “Truth or Dare” might just be your cup of tea. It’s got them young folks messin’ with an evil game that forces them to play for their lives. Kind of like how “Happy Death Day” uses that time loop to mess with the girl, this one’s all about playin’ games with life or death. Creepy, but still fun.

4. The Final Girls (2015)
Another “Final Girls” flick, huh? Yeah, I know. But this one’s another kind that takes the time-loop style and wraps it up with some slasher horror. Gotta say, it’s got heart – just like “Happy Death Day,” it’s got some moments that’ll make you laugh and some that’ll make you shiver in your boots.
5. Scream (1996)
Now, this one here’s a classic. “Scream” don’t have no time loops, but it’s got that slasher vibe that makes your heart race. You’ve got people dyin’ left and right, and it’s up to the folks still standin’ to figure out who’s behind it all. If you liked the suspense and thrill in “Happy Death Day,” this one’ll keep you on the edge of your seat, too.
6. Freaky (2020)
Now, if you’ve watched “Happy Death Day” and liked it, you’re probably gonna love “Freaky.” It’s by the same feller who made “Happy Death Day,” and it’s got a similar mix of horror and comedy. It’s about a high school girl who switches bodies with a serial killer. Y’know, the usual mess – killer’s out there in her body, and she’s got to figure out how to stop him before it’s too late. Just a real good time, full of laughs and scares.

7. Edge of Tomorrow (2014)
This one’s got a little bit more of that sci-fi feel, but it’s got time loops too! Tom Cruise gets stuck in a loop, where he dies and wakes up again, and every time he gets closer to stoppin’ the alien invasion. It’s like if “Happy Death Day” met a war movie. It’s got action, time loops, and some good ol’ thrills, just like what you’d want if you’re a fan of time loop horror flicks.
8. The Cabin in the Woods (2012)
If you haven’t seen this one yet, you’re in for a treat. It’s not exactly time loops, but it’s got the same kind of twisty surprises that’ll keep you on your toes. A bunch of folks head off to a cabin in the woods, and things start goin’ all kinds of wrong. It’s a great mix of horror, humor, and a plot that’ll keep ya guessin’ till the very end.
9. Donnie Darko (2001)
This one’s a bit more on the mind-bendin’ side, but it’s got that element of time travel and eerie stuff goin’ on. It’s about a young fella who starts havin’ visions and experience strange things. It’s got that kinda “what’s really goin’ on?” vibe, just like “Happy Death Day” does when the whole time loop thing starts. It’s slow-burnin’, but it’s worth it if you like them kind of thrillers.

10. Timecrimes (2007)
Last but not least, we got “Timecrimes.” This here’s a Spanish film that’s all about time travel, and it gets real twisty. It’s about a man who gets caught up in a time loop and starts messin’ with things that he shouldn’t. If you like the mind-bendin’ parts of “Happy Death Day,” then “Timecrimes” might just be the movie for ya.
Well, there you go! These movies all have that mix of time loops, horror, and plenty of twists that’ll keep ya guessin’. Some are fun, some are creepy, and all of ’em are worth a watch if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ like “Happy Death Day.” Grab some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the ride!
