Well, if you’re looking for Amelia in season 3 of Harlots, it’s not as simple as you’d think. Amelia Scanwell, she was quite the character in the first two seasons. You remember her, right? She’s the one who got mixed up in all sorts of trouble. Poor thing, always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now, in season 3, you might be wondering, “Where did she go? It’s no surprise she didn’t come out unscathed. After all that, you’d expect season 3 to pick up on her story, but nope, not quite.
From what I’ve gathered, Amelia does show up later in the season, but it’s not in the way you’d think. She’s kind of in the background, not making much noise. And that’s a shame because, in the earlier seasons, she had some strong moments. I suppose with all the drama going on – you know, Margaret Wells and Lydia Quigley fighting tooth and nail, Charlotte getting into all kinds of messes – Amelia just got lost in the shuffle. There’s just so many characters and so many stories, it’s hard to keep track of everyone.
It seems to me like the writers didn’t quite know what to do with Amelia in season 3. Maybe they had bigger plans for her, but they didn’t pan out. Or maybe they just decided her story wasn’t as important as the others. Either way, if you’re a fan of Amelia, you might be a bit disappointed with how little you see her.
